A bridge junction project has been initiated in the Numune Hospital intersection area to alleviate traffic congestion. Sivas Mayor Hilmi Bilgin examined the project on-site and received information from the 16th Regional Director of Highways, Mustafa Türksoy, and the teams.
The bridge junction project, which was launched to solve the traffic congestion at the intersection connecting the Sivas-Erzincan highway to Numune Hospital, is still ongoing. Mayor Bilgin, who examined the project, stated that they are working to provide uninterrupted transportation within the city.
Regional Director Türksoy, who provided information about the project, stated, “We have awarded the tender for our hospital intersection and started work after the site was delivered. We will start pile driving work from tomorrow. We have completed the excavation of the Erzincan direction in the first phase, and we have started working with the bridge pillars. We have also designed and signed a mutual project for traffic circulation. There is no problem with the flow, and our work will be completed by the end of the year and put into service.”
Mayor Bilgin said, “We are examining the construction of the Numune Hospital Bridge Junction and Overpass, which was tendered by our Regional Directorate of Highways, with our Regional Director and his team. This is one of the important transportation projects of our city… With the arrival of the hospital, heavy traffic was occurring. The project was tendered by the Regional Directorate of Highways to solve this issue, and construction work has started. I thank the entire team, including our Regional Director. There is a balance between blessing and hardship here. To implement the project, certain routes need to be closed. Planning was made to ensure the fastest traffic flow. During the construction process, there may be some delays, and we seek the understanding of our citizens. When the project is completed, we will have provided uninterrupted transportation.
