Prof. Dr. Yasemin Giritli İnceoğlu
She was born in Istanbul in 1961. After graduating from Nilüfer Hatun Primary School and Atatürk Girls’ High School, she graduated from Istanbul University’s Department of English Language and Literature in 1983. After completing her master’s and doctorate at Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism, where she worked between 1984 and 2004, she received the titles of associate professor (1993) and professor (1999) from the same institution. She retired from Galatasaray University’s Faculty of Communication in December 2004, where she has been working since. In addition to being a member of organizations such as ILAD (Association for Communication Research), UNESCO, and the American Biography Institute, İnceoğlu, who participated as an “European Commission Expert” in the “media literacy” meetings of the Council of Europe, was invited as a visiting lecturer to Columbia University (1994) and the Salzburg Seminars (2003) and, most recently, to the Media Studies Center at New Delhi University in 2014, where she gave lectures and seminars. İnceoğlu, who presented international papers at meetings of the Alliance of Civilizations and UNESCO, knows English, Italian, and French. She is a founding member of the Journalism Development Association and a member of the advisory board of the Media Dispute Center and the Social Policies Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Umut Foundation and the International Transparency Association. İnceoğlu, who served on the advisory board of the National Press Hate Crimes in Turkey: 10 Years, 10 Examples project, which was completed in April 2010 by the Social Change Association, is an individual supporter of the Culture and Art Center Garaj Istanbul and a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Istanbul Women and Culture Foundation. İnceoğlu has more than twenty books, numerous international and national articles, and projects. Savaş Çoban
He was born in Sinop in 1975. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of English Language Teaching at Uludağ University, his master’s degree in the Department of Turkish as a Foreign Language at Yıldız Technical University, and his doctorate in the Department of Radio-Television at Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication.
