The opening event held at Ideal Art House felt like an early New Year’s party, featuring delicious refreshments and live music. The well-attended gathering gave guests the opportunity to closely examine Pınar Ervardar’s works and engage in conversations with the artist about her creations.
As Türkiye Haber Portalı, we were invited to follow the exhibition at Ideal Art House. Imagine a place where every corner is filled with art from the moment you step into its garden… Ideal Art House is precisely such a venue for art and events. The space is adorned with Pınar Ervardar’s canvases, photographs, and photo canvases, all designed with captivating light effects and reflecting her emotions. The expertly arranged pieces create mesmerizing light plays that seamlessly blend into the house’s energy, leaving you unsure of where to look first. As we enjoyed the event with delightful music and refreshments, we took the opportunity to ask Pınar Ervardar some questions about the exhibition.
What new aspects can we expect to see in this exhibition, Mrs. Pınar?
We are in a wonderful space deeply intertwined with art. This marks my 20th year in painting. Since the venue allowed it, I decided to host a personal exhibition here this year. We’ve all experienced ups and downs, losses, and sadness. For me, painting and photography are the most beautiful ways to stay standing and fill life with meaning. I also paint with my camera, capturing abstract photos using long exposure. Sometimes, I print these photos and intervene in them, or I adapt these abstract images to shawls or tablecloths.
I try to live as fully as possible within each day. This place is both a living space where my husband makes music and I create paintings. We live, produce, and exhibit here. Additionally, we organize events. People come, join our music, have fun, share their thoughts, and laugh with us.
Currently, I’m exhibiting over 300 paintings here. The spacious venue allows us to spread across two floors and showcase my works, including photos and intervened paintings. My paintings range in size from 10 centimeters to 7 meters. These 7-meter pieces are displayed here now but await showcasing in even larger spaces. I continue creating late into the night and share my work as it accumulates.
The play of light is evident throughout your works. What inspires you?
The common elements in my works are light effects and colors. I am deeply inspired by the depth, fertility, and rebirth of nature. These themes, overflowing in my creations, reflect the idea that life can begin anew despite everything. I cannot stay idle, and my husband is equally productive when it comes to music. We find happiness in sharing our art.
