Statement from Tankut Turnaoğlu
Tankut Turnaoğlu, the Chairman of the Board for the Caucasus and Central Asia at P&G Turkey, stated in a release, “We believe that sports play a crucial role in raising healthy and confident generations. That’s why we say, ‘Every mother who encourages her child to do sports is a Star Mother.’ We apply our ‘Seeing Equally’ approach not only to gender equality but also believe that athletes with physical disabilities should be supported. For this reason, we have expanded our support for the 2024 Paris Olympics in collaboration with TMPK. We believe in the unifying power of sports and will continue our efforts to develop sports culture and promote lesser-known disciplines.”
Support for 10 Paralympic Athletes in Different Disciplines
Highlighting the importance of diversity in sports, Tankut Turnaoğlu emphasized, “We support 10 athletes and their mothers who have earned the right to participate in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Gratitude from TMPK President Dr. Av. Murat Aksu
Dr. Av. Murat Aksu, the President of the Turkish National Paralympic Committee, expressed his views on the collaboration. Aksu stated, “This moment is not just the beginning of a collaboration; it is the blossoming of hope and the realization of a dream. We are excited to join forces with a brand as respected and beloved worldwide as P&G on the road to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. With P&G’s support, a new era begins for our Paralympic community and our heroic athletes. We are a young and dynamic committee at the age of 21, aiming to enter the top 10 globally. To achieve this goal, the relentless efforts of our athletes, our passionate work, and, of course, the contributions of strong supporters like P&G are crucial. This collaboration goes beyond sporting achievements; it represents the realization of a mission. The acceptance of the Paralympic Movement in society, increasing awareness, and touching the lives of disabled individuals… These values, together with P&G, will find a stronger voice and a broader impact. I hope this collaboration turns into a long-term partnership that not only illuminates today’s success stories but also sheds light on the successes of tomorrow. I express my deep gratitude to P&G for this investment in our athletes, our society, and our future. I eagerly look forward to the days when we will achieve many successes together.”
