Petra Hospitality Management, an Istanbul-based hotel management company that brings a holistic approach to the tourism and hospitality industry with its experienced team, has announced that it will add future tourism leaders, selected from Mersin University Tourism Faculty graduates, to its team.
In collaboration with Mersin University Tourism Faculty Graduates Association (METIOD), Petra Hospitality Management will offer the opportunity for 4 graduates each year to participate in the Management Trainee program. Graduates who qualify for the MT program will have the opportunity to work in various departments of global branded hotels within Petra HM for 1 year. Future leader candidates will have the opportunity to acquire the discipline of global hospitality and, upon completion of the program, will have the chance to continue their careers at one of the hotels within Petra HM if they wish.
Recently, Petra HM announced its scholarship opportunity to tourism students through the Mersin University Tourism Faculty Graduates Association. Petra HM will provide the chance for 4 graduates from the Mersin University Tourism and Hotel Management department to have both job opportunities and experience in different areas for 1 year. At the end of the 1-year program, Petra HM will offer graduates a management position in the department they choose at one of the hotels it manages. Graduates will have the opportunity to decide which career path to follow based on the experience and knowledge they acquire in various departments, while also investing in their future careers.
Emrullah Akçakaya, a Mersin University Tourism Faculty graduate and also the co-founder and chairman of the board of Petra Hospitality, stated that “Tourism is one of the most important sectors for both the economic development of Turkey and its promotion to the world.
