The youth and sports club of Çorlu Municipality (ÇBSK) swimmers achieved a great success at the tournament held in Bulgaria.
Representing Çorlu with great success, the ÇBSK Swimming Team won 12 gold, 13 silver, and 11 bronze medals, becoming the third-place winner at the “Seventh Swimming Tournament Spartac” held in the city of Sandanski, Bulgaria, between May 12 and May 14, 2023, where 29 clubs and 680 athletes competed.
Among the ÇBSK swimmers, Toprak Bahar in the 9-year-old category and Eren Özden in the 12-year-old category received special awards at the tournament.
In his statement, Mayor Ahmet Sarıkurt of Çorlu Municipality said, “I congratulate our swimmers and coaches who have achieved significant success in the field of swimming since the opening of our Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool. We are delighted to see that our investments in swimming, like many other sports, are yielding results. As the European Sports City, we will continue our investments for sports and athletes in Çorlu. I congratulate all our athletes and coaches and wish them continued success. I also thank our valuable parents who trust us and entrust their children to us under any circumstances. We will continue to work to raise athletes in the footsteps of our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.”
