Gerenköy Secondary School teachers and students in İzmir’s Foça district organized a multidimensional recycling exhibition based on the theme of Çanakkale Victory, on the occasion of the 18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Day.
With the exhibition, it was aimed to both keep the spirit of Çanakkale alive and raise awareness about recycling. District Director of National Education Yüksel Akar, who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition organized by the School’s Science Teacher Sabahat Tezer Güngör, congratulated all the teachers and students who contributed to the study for their success.
The 7th grade students of Gerenköy Secondary School prepared models by using recycling materials as an in-class activity in the Science class. Since it was in March, the theme of Çanakkale was used in the models. Thus, both Çanakkale Victory was commemorated and it was aimed to raise awareness about recycling by using recycling materials. While working on the theme of Çanakkale, the fact that the students dressed in their period clothes showed the scenes from the battles on the Çanakkale Front gave the exhibition a multidimensional visual equipment.
