Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality will celebrate the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day excitement with the children of Defne district in Hatay, who experienced the century’s disaster. Events that will add excitement to the April 23 celebrations will be held in the tent city in Defne, which the Metropolitan Municipality has set up since the first days of the earthquake, between April 20-23. Children will thus experience a double celebration.
EVERYTHING FOR THE CHILDREN IN DEFNE
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has been working meticulously for a long time for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day events to be held in Defne district of Hatay. Defne, which the Metropolitan Municipality has reached out to with help and brotherhood since the first days of the disaster, will be filled with children’s voices on April 23.
HATAY APRIL 23 PROGRAM
As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations to be held in Hatay, it is planned to organize a 3-day event combined with Ramadan Bayram between April 21-22-23. A performance stage will be set up in the tent city for the organization, and inflatable game groups will be placed in suitable areas. During the program, animation teams will perform colorful shows for children. In addition, refreshments will be distributed.
CELEBRATIONS WILL START ON THE EVE OF THE HOLIDAY
The April 23 celebrations in the region will start on Thursday, April 20, the eve of Ramadan Bayram. A holiday box consisting of candy and cologne will be distributed to those who stay overnight in the tent city on the eve. The next day, on the morning of the holiday, children will be invited to the area to exchange holiday greetings. After gathering in the area, jugglers, animation teams, and a procession consisting of children will be created. Children will visit the tents in the procession to collect traditional holiday candy. While children collect candy, the procession team will also distribute holiday chocolate to citizens on behalf of Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor Tahir Büyükakın.
STAGE PERFORMANCES WILL BE HELD
After the holiday celebrations on the same day, stage performances will begin and children will have a fun time in special workshops set up for them.
LEMI PHILOSOPHER AND ONUR EROL WILL PERFORM ON STAGE
On April 21st, Friday, the beloved character Lemi Philosopher will perform on stage in the event and will deliver one of his best shows for the children. In addition, the beloved artist Onur Erol will sing his best songs for the children in Defne.
AND THE BIG DAY IS APRIL 23RD
On April 23rd, which is the most meaningful day of the event, Hatay Defne Tent City will be filled with the voices of children. Gökçe Kurt Elitez will tell the most beautiful stories for children with her storytelling session. In addition, the Niloya Children’s Musical will also add joy to the April 23rd celebrations.
