In an environment where justice, law, and rights prevail and where the concept of equality comes to life in its true meaning, the polarization among our workers who contribute to the development of our country will disappear, and social order will be established.
Our worker brothers and sisters, who produce with their sweat and toil, including laborers, civil servants, academics, architects, engineers, and healthcare workers, are struggling for a decent life. In this regard, as our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk also stated, “In our eyes, the rights, interests, and freedoms of farmers, shepherds, workers, merchants, artisans, doctors, and all citizens are equal.”
Our common wish is to come together in unity and solidarity on beautiful days when families can easily meet their basic needs, children can be happy, workers can get their rights, unions can operate without employer pressure, equal pay for equal work is realized, and impunity for occupational accidents ends, based on merit.
With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate the May 1st Labor Day with the hope of meeting in May, where the free voice of the workers will rise from the squares, in a festive and joyful atmosphere.
