M. Sadık Altınok’s solo exhibition “Under the Same Sky” will meet the audience at Schneidertempel Art Center from March 6 to April 6.
One of Turkey’s contemporary artists, M. Sadık Altınok invites art lovers on a journey through art using diverse techniques at a unique venue.
The exhibition Under the Same Sky includes works in printmaking (engraving, screen printing), wall paintings (ceramics), and oil paintings, as well as pieces that utilize the artist’s specially created paint. Skillfully blending these different techniques in his artistic practice, Altınok presents individual and societal narratives from his unique perspective in this exhibition:
The exhibition depicts human life and its intimate connection with nature—sky, sea, and earth. The artist emphasizes the notion that “although we may seem the same, we are different from one another.” Merging nature with his distinctive technique, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on differences and similarities, as well as the beauty of nature.
The works featured in the exhibition reflect the artist’s unique style, which he has developed over the years, offering viewers a powerful visual and intellectual experience. Inspired by his inner world, Altınok’s works aim to strengthen the bond between the viewer and art, promote the widespread appreciation of art, and foster its connection with society.

From M. Sadık Altınok’s Perspective…
“Life continues in the sky, sea, and earth.
In my works, each figure may seem the same, but they are actually different from one another. I tried to multiply the reflections of these figures in nature—in the sky, the sun, the earth, and the water.”
A Journey into Altınok’s World
Having grown up surrounded by Seljuk artifacts, Altınok was deeply influenced by them.
The artist draws inspiration from past cultures and archaeological works in his paintings. Every museum he visits enables him to make different syntheses.
The “letters” series he created, based on ancient scripts and inscriptions, is dedicated to each city in Turkey.
Altınok emphasizes that art, when blended with original ideas, creates a very strong contemporary language.
