Due to the Library Week celebrated between March 27 and April 2, a ceremony was held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:00 in the Malkara District Public Library.
At the ceremony, District Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel, Mayor Ulaş Yurdakul, Deputy District Gendarme Commander Asb. Kdm. Conc. Mustafa Kıranlıoğlu, District Police Chief Hasan Basri Karakuş, District National Education Director Ali Saraç, teachers, students, members of the press and book readers took part.
After the Library Week, a moment of silence on behalf of the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all our saintly martyrs, and the singing of the National Anthem, Malkara District Public Library Director Ramazan Çağrı Acar delivered a speech stating the meaning and importance of the day.
At the ceremony held in Malkara District Public Library, after the speech of Malkara District Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel, the protocol members presented a certificate of appreciation to the students and citizens who read the most books in the library.
After the ceremony, Malkara District Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel, Mayor Ulaş Yurdakul and protocol members went to the 15 July Democracy Park with book readers to raise awareness by reading a book.
