Kartepe Mayor Av.M.Mustafa Kocaman participated in the 1st International Hygiene Research Congress in the Hospitality Industry organized by KOÜ Kartepe Tourism Vocational School. During the “Hygiene in Disasters” panel, Kocaman emphasized the importance of protecting public health against the risk of outbreaks during disasters, and highlighted the efforts made to protect environmental health and hygiene after the century’s disaster.
“We are always in cooperation and communication with Kocaeli University. We are proud to contribute to any project that will benefit science and our youth. Unfortunately, disasters, especially earthquakes, are a reality in our country. We experienced very painful events on February 6. We lost our loved ones in 11 cities. Our hearts were broken. We also experienced the reality of hygiene during the earthquake. We saw how important hygiene is in the chronology of rescue, shelter, and food for life to continue healthily. That’s why this panel is very meaningful and valuable. I thank everyone who contributed. With my wishes for no disasters to occur,” Kocaman said in his statement.
