At the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Commemoration Program held at the Kocaeli Congress Center, the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble presented a repertoire describing the course of the great epic.
The 108th anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory is celebrated with enthusiasm all over Turkey. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality also organized a commemoration program for this epic victory. In the program held at Kocaeli Congress Center, hundreds of people who filled the hall lived the great epic.
THE TRAVEL OF THE GREAT EPIC HAS BEEN TOLD
In the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Commemoration Program organized by the Metropolitan Municipality, the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble presented a repertoire describing the course of the great epic. The program of the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble, whose artistic director is Mehmet İhsan Özer, was performed. In the performance that starts with the Qur’an; marches, folk songs, hymns, laments, songs and poems were read.
It ended with the national anthem
In the program in which Ayhan Çağlı and Enes Ergün will take part as narrators, information and memories about the Epic of Çanakkale were also shared. The program ended with the National Anthem, sung by the Community and the citizens. At the end of the program, Raşit Fidan, Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs, presented flowers to the members of the Community.
IT DID 325 DAYS, RESULTED IN VICTORY
The Dardanelles War began on February 19, 1915, with the naval battle in the Dardanelles. Then it continued on the Seddulbahir, Arıburnu and Anafartalar fronts on land. The wars that lasted for 325 days resulted in the victory of the Turkish army. The Dardanelles Wars ended with the victory of the Turkish army on January 9, 1916.
