Support for Children in the Earthquake Area on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day from Koç Group Companies and Volunteers
Following the earthquake disaster on February 6th, Koç Group, which has been tirelessly working to meet the needs of the region, organized Koç Children’s Festivals for children in 4 cities within the scope of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
Thousands of children participated in the events organized in Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adıyaman, and Malatya by Koç Group companies Arçelik, Aygaz, Beko, Bilkom, Divan, Düzey, Entek, Ford Otosan, Opet, Otokoç Otomotiv, Sendeo, Tüpraş, Yapı Kredi, and volunteers, coordinated by Koç Group Sports Club.
Koç Group companies, which are carrying out a large-scale aid campaign in the provinces affected by the earthquake, organized Koç Children’s Festivals for children on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. The events, held in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and Hatay, were supported by Aygaz, Arçelik, Beko, Bilkom, Divan, Düzey, Entek, Ford Otosan, Opet, Otokoç Otomotiv, Sendeo, Tüpraş, and Yapı Kredi.

More than 3,000 children participated in the Koç Children’s Festivals held in Karacasu container city in Kahramanmaraş, KYK girls’ dormitory in Hatay, Mansur Yardımcı Stadium in Adıyaman, and Malet container city in Malatya.
Koç Group volunteers who participated in the festivals received training from expert psychologists on communication with children before the events, and the event program was created based on the recommendations of pedagogues. In addition to sports activities such as football and basketball, children had a fun time with activities such as face painting, mud hand workshop, drama workshop, ball pool, and orienteering (finding direction) course at the festivals. Gifts prepared with the contributions of group companies and employees were also presented to children.

Koç Group Builds Container Cities in the Earthquake Area
Koç Holding, which established a Crisis Coordination Center from the first day to reach those in need in the provinces affected by the earthquake quickly and carried out a comprehensive work with group companies, continues its support for the region without interruption.
Koç Holding, together with group companies, will build a total of 5,000 containers in 4 different cities in the earthquake area, and about 20,000 people will reside in the container cities. The container cities are being built in cooperation with national and international civil society organizations, taking into account the needs of different groups, including women, children, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
