According to the survey, the most preferred jean type by Turkish people is the regular jean at 26.1%. This model, which has maintained its popularity from the ’90s to the present, appeals to all age groups with its comfort and timeless style. Regular cuts, especially preferred for casual outfits, maintain their place in fashion with their classic and versatile structure. In second place, with 23.3%, is the slim-fit jean, considered the favorite for those seeking a balance of elegance and comfort. In third place, with 19.8%, is the skinny jean, thought to reflect a rebellious and dynamic spirit.

Trends in Hem Cuts: Straight, Bootcut, and Tapered

When choosing jeans, not only the waist and hip cuts but also the hem type plays a significant role. Among hem styles, the most stylish model is the straight cut, reflecting a classic and minimalist style, preferred by 36.7%. In second place, with 30.8%, is the bootcut, which slightly widens below the knee to offer a balanced and elegant look. In third place, with 16.5%, is the tapered hem, which narrows below the knee to provide both a sporty and modern appearance.

Other hem models include flared jeans with 9.6% and palazzo jeans with 6.3%.

Celebrities Who Look Best in Jeans: Serenay Sarıkaya and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ

Jeans are a staple for celebrities who stand out with their style. According to the survey results, the first name that comes to mind when thinking of jeans is Serenay Sarıkaya, with 44.9%. In second place is Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ with 25.6%. Çağatay Ulusoy ranks third with 10.3%, followed by Fahriye Evcen in fourth with 10.1%, and Afra Saraçoğlu in fifth with 4.8%.

Other celebrities noted for their jean style include Aras Bulut İynemli with 3.7% and Hande Erçel with 0.5%.

Methodology of the Survey

The survey, conducted between July 8 and 28, 2024, included 1,100 participants from across Turkey. It was carried out using quantitative research methods, specifically the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) technique, through Areda Piar’s profile-based digital panel.
