The International Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Association (JCI) Bahçeşehir Branch Hosts the 100th Anniversary Republic Anthem Composition Competition Award Ceremony
On the evening of Saturday, October 21st, the JCI Bahçeşehir Branch hosted the award ceremony of the “Long Live the Republic 100th Anniversary Anthem Composition Competition” at the Ataköy Yunus Emre Cultural Center. The competition aimed to pass on Turkey’s achievements in independence and the republic to future generations.
Nur Sarpdere Tat Receives the First Prize
During this significant event, the compositions that made it to the finals were once again performed with the accompaniment of the BAU Polyphonic Choir. Among the participants, Nur Sarpdere Tat was awarded the first prize for her composition titled “Long Live the Republic 100th Anniversary Anthem.” This achievement underscores the prominence of a composition that reflects Turkey’s struggle for independence and the republic.
A Meaningful Mission from JCI Bahçeşehir Branch
During her speech at this special event, Burcu Çoban, the President of JCI Bahçeşehir Branch, stated, “JCI Bahçeşehir is an organization dedicated to helping young individuals realize their potential, provide better service to society, and make a difference. Tonight, the compositions written demonstrate how great talent and energy there is in preserving Turkey’s independence and the achievements of the republic for future generations.”

During the gala night, the compositions that reached the finals were performed once more with the accompaniment of the BAU Polyphonic Choir. This splendid performance provided attendees with an unforgettable experience.

The jury meticulously evaluated the compositions, and the top three were awarded as follows: – First Prize: Nur Sarpdere Tat with “Long Live the Republic 100th Anniversary Anthem” – Second Prize: Göksel Çetin with “To Many More Centuries” – Third Prize: İlke Gülye Köse with “100th Year Anthem”
An Unforgettable Night
The gala night featured captivating performances by the BAU Polyphonic Choir, Zeybek, and Folk Dance groups, providing a delightful experience for the audience. Towards the end of the night, Dr. Yavuz Durak, a member of the jury, took to the piano, and everyone in the hall enthusiastically sang the 100th Anniversary Anthem while holding Turkish flags.
