There was great excitement
Emphasizing that Izmir once again hosted a European Cup leg after 15 years in wheelchair basketball, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club President Ersan Odaman said, “We are on the way to make Izmir a sports city under the leadership of our President Tunç Soyer. 15 years later, we hosted a very important European Cup series in wheelchairs. During the two days, all the matches were played in a gentlemanly manner and there were many enjoyable moments. We received positive feedback from the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation. We once again demonstrated the power of Izmir to organize international events in every branch of sports. We would like to thank all our staff and volunteers working with the Turkish Physically Handicapped Sports Federation and Izmir Youth and Sports Directorate.”
