Karate 1 Series A Konya 2023 Championship, which will continue until March 12, has started in Konya, the 2023 World Sports Capital, hosted by the Turkish Karate Federation. On Sunday, March 12, Konya will host the Luxembourg match of our National Men’s Handball Team, which competes in Group 1 of the EHF Men’s EURO 2024 Qualifications.
Chosen as the 2023 World Capital of Sports by the European Federation of Sports Capitals and Cities, Konya hosts important sports organizations.
With the contributions of Konya Metropolitan Municipality; The organizations that started with the karate tournament to be held on March 10-12 will continue with the Turkey-Luxembourg match to be held on Sunday, March 12.
Karate 1 Series A Konya 2023 Championship, hosted by the Turkish Karate Federation, started at Konya Sports and Congress Center. While 1,079 athletes from 76 countries participated in the championship, which will be held between 10-12 March 2023, 191 national athletes represent our country for the championship.
On the other hand, our National Men’s Handball Team, competing in the 1st Group of the EHF Men’s EURO 2024 Qualifiers, will play its fourth match in the group against Luxembourg in Konya on Sunday, March 12. The match, which will be played at Selçuklu International Sports Hall, will start at 17.00. The match will also be broadcast live on TRT Spor Yıldız channel.
