From Value Production, an international co-production: Mustafa Çavuş is both a producer and a member of the cast!

Filming has begun in Mersin for “The Sting of the Dead Bee,” a co-production between Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Serbia. The film, written and directed by Aydın Orak, is produced by Aydın Orak, Fahriye Şentürk, and Mustafa Çavuş. With its powerful story and international production support, the film is touted as one of the most ambitious projects of the new season.

The cast, led by Cansel Elçin and Zeynep Tuğçe Bayat, includes Nilüfer Açıkalın, Tim Seyfi, Ali Congun, Pelin Batu, Mehmet Çepiç, Görkem Yeltan, Muhammet Cangören, Dara Kutlay, Emre Aslan, Zümre Ertürk, and Mustafa Çavuş, who is also one of the film’s producers.

Mustafa Çavuş stands out not only as a producer but also with his performance in the cast. Previously part of the crew for the feature film “Adını Sen Koy” (You Name It), Çavuş has also acted in projects like “Azap” (Torment), “Mor Menekşeler” (Purple Violets), and “Yeni Gelin” (The New Bride). With successful performances in theater and cinema, Çavuş is opening a new chapter in his career in a supporting male role in “The Sting of the Dead Bee.”

The film, which received the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism Feature Film Production Support, also garnered attention by winning the Antalya Film Forum Feature Fiction Film Pitching Platform Award and Technical Equipment Awards. Additionally, the Mersin Cinema Office is among the institutions supporting the project.

Adapted from Aydın Orak’s novel of the same name, “The Sting of the Dead Bee” brings to the big screen the story of a lawyer who, after a tragic event, embarks on a profound journey of transformation with his wife. The film powerfully explores the dark side of human nature, regret, and conscience, focusing on the themes of inner transformation and rebirth through hope after a tragedy.
