One of the projects that will change the face of Körfez Yarımca is the construction of the City Square and 75th Anniversary Republic Park, which is progressing intensively.

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, with its newly created green areas and squares, is changing the face of the city and continues its work in this area. The construction works of the Yarımca City Square and 75th Anniversary Republic Park, carried out in collaboration with Körfez Municipality, are progressing intensively.

LANDSCAPE ARRANGEMENT ON AN 8,000 M2 AREA

The aim is to create a beautiful and spacious area in the region by integrating the square in front of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Mosque in Körfez Mimar Sinan Neighborhood with Mehmet Akif Ersoy Avenue and the 75th Anniversary Republic Park located on the southern part of the avenue. Within this scope, environmental arrangements, landscaping, and other construction activities are being carried out on an 8,000 square meter area.

PLAYGROUNDS AND SOCIAL AREAS

The 75th Anniversary Republic Park will include a volleyball-basketball court, seating groups, a taxi stop, totem poles, walking paths, children’s playgrounds, and sports equipment. Within the scope of the works, structural and horticultural landscaping is being carried out in the Republic Park section. Irrigation infrastructure has been installed, and planting of plants and trees is underway. While the construction of triangular shades continues in the park section, the assembly of benches has been completed.

LIBRARY, CAFETERIA, HEALTH CENTER

In Yarımca City Square, which covers an area of 6,000 square meters, the exterior and interior plastering and ceramic works of the structure where the Health Center, cafeteria, and library are located together are ongoing. Structural landscaping works in the square are continuing, and the construction of two minarets for the mosque in the square is also being carried out as part of the project. In addition, the construction of stones that will enhance the visual richness of the square’s ground is also in progress.
