In the 11th Tax Marathon Competition organized by Ernst & Young (EY) Turkey, the first place was secured by Gökdeniz Coşkunoğlu, an Economics student at Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ). The competition aims to discover the talents of future tax professionals while pursuing the goal of providing career opportunities for young talents.
With his victory, Gökdeniz Coşkunoğlu earned the right to represent EY Turkey in the “EY Young Tax Professional of the Year” competition. This success was also accompanied by a prize of 10,000 TL and the opportunity to intern at EY Turkey.
Muhammed Ali Çiçek, a student of the Department of International Relations and Law at Koç University, secured the second place, while Alper Çetin, a student of the Department of International Trade at Boğaziçi University, and Sude Evkuran, a student of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Marmara University, shared the third place.
Erkan Baykuş, Head of the EY Turkey Tax Department and a member of the competition jury, expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm shown by the youth, emphasizing that projects focusing on changes in the tax field are exciting. Ateş Konca, EY Turkey Tax Department Partner and Leader of International Taxation Services, highlighted the competition as an important platform for preparing young talents for the industry. He congratulated Gökdeniz Coşkunoğlu on winning the first prize and wished for continued success on the international stage.
