In the fast-breaking tents set up by Keçiören Municipality in earthquake zones of Malatya, Adıyaman and Kahramanmaraş Ekinözü, hot iftar meals are offered to 2,500 people daily.
Earthquake victims and staff in the region benefit from the iftar tents where different types of food, dessert and drink are served every day.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, who said that Ramadan was a bittersweet month due to the earthquake, but that the sense of unity, brotherhood and solidarity has aged at a high level, said, “I hope we will get through these difficult days as soon as possible with the embrace of our state and our nation. I pray to my Lord that the fasts opened with prayers in our iftar tent in the blessed month of Ramadan will be accepted. From the first day of the earthquake, we continued to support our earthquake victims. Our support will continue until the wounds are healed.” he said.
