Micro-mobility company hop, which serves more than 1.5 million active users in 3 countries and over 20 cities, has started operating in Greece.
The micro-mobility initiative hop, which started its operations in Greece with its shared electric scooters, continues to offer environmentally friendly, practical, and shared transportation options for short distances.
Established in Ankara in 2019 with the goal of reducing transportation-related environmental pollution, carbon emissions, and time spent in traffic for a sustainable world, hop became the micro-mobility initiative with the widest service network in Turkey within three years. Now, hop is operating in Thessaloniki, Greece, where Atatürk was born.
Hop, which serves more than 1.5 million active users in 3 countries and over 20 cities, will soon start providing services to facilitate urban transportation in Greece’s other cities, including Athens, following Thessaloniki. Europe’s healthiest growing micromobility company aims to expand its operational area to 30 cities in 10 countries by the end of the year.

Benefiting from the social benefits of electric and shared transportation to the fullest, Hop continuously improves its vehicles, which stand out with their high driving safety, performance, and advanced technology, through comprehensive R&D studies. It continues to work tirelessly to find solutions to short-distance transportation problems in cities.
Yiğit Kipman, the CEO and co-founder of Hop, says, “We work 24/7 to spread environmentally friendly transportation styles in different countries of the world. In our fourth year, we aim to be Europe’s healthiest growing and sustainable micromobility company with our operations gaining momentum in Europe.” Hop aims to expand its current fleet by twice in a short time to promote the Hop brand in different countries.
“We know that micro-mobility is a need for all cities, regardless of the scale. We are moving step by step towards our goals, but Thessaloniki is special for us. We are happy and proud to start serving in the city where our great leader Atatürk was born,” says Yiğit Kipman.
