Hepsiburada closed 2022 with an annual 81% growth and order record

Turkey’s Hepsiburada announced its financial and operational results for the last quarter of 2022 and for the whole year.

The first and only company of Turkey, which is traded on the global technology exchange Nasdaq, Hepsiburada; It announced its financial and operational results for the last quarter of 2022 and for the whole year. Accordingly, Hepsiburada showed a strong performance in all indicators of strategic importance for e-commerce, such as the total sales volume, the number and frequency of orders, the number of active sellers and customers, and the number of products, and closed the year 2022 with a growth rate of 81%.

Exceeded Growth Forecast: 81% Growth in 2022

Turkey’s largest e-commerce platform with domestic capital, Hepsiburada, increased its total sales volume to 47.3 billion TL with a growth of 81% in 2022 and reached a performance of over 70%, which is the annual sales volume growth forecast for 2022.

Record Growth with 50% Increase in Order Number in 2022

Hepsiburada continued to expand its active customer base in 2022 as well. Thanks to its wide product range and service approach, the platform reached 12.2 million active customers with an 8% increase at the end of 2022; The order frequency per customer increased by 39.1% to 6.6 by the end of 2022. Thus, the number of orders reached 80.4 million with a 50% growth in 2022.

Number of Active Sellers Increased by 33%, Number of Products Increased by 81%

There was also a significant increase in the number of active sellers and products of Hepsiburada. With the “My Business Partner” program, which offers comprehensive services to sellers, Hepsiburada enabled the member merchant application to maximize their success on the platform. The number of active vendors of the company at the end of 2022 increased by 33% annually and reached 99.7 thousand. The number of products on the platform increased by 81% annually to 163.6 million. The share of marketplace sales in the total sales volume was 67%.

According to the results of the independent market research conducted by FutureBright, Hepsiburada maintained its leadership in the sector with the highest Net Promoter Score (NPS) in the Turkish e-commerce market in 2022 with its privileged delivery and payment services.

The new loyalty program of Hepsiburada, Hepsiburada Premium, launched in July 2022, reached 615 thousand members as of the end of December 2022 and more than 840 thousand members as of March 15.

Hepsiburada Seller  83% of Orders Are ‘At Your Door Tomorrow’

HepsiJET, which is one of the important strategic investments of Hepsiburada on the way to reach perfection in customer satisfaction and undertakes a critical task in the delivery of relief materials to the region and earthquake victims after the earthquake; It continued its services in 81 provinces of Turkey with 2,453 vehicles.

During 2022, 60% of the sales of Hepsiburada member businesses and 65% of the orders placed through the Hepsiburada platform were delivered by HepsiJET. Introducing the “Return at Door” application, which is one of the firsts in the industry, to its customers in 2021, HepsiJET received 56% of the returns at its customers’ doors.

In terms of next day delivery performance, HepsiJET delivered 83% of its orders the next day in 2022; achieved a net recommendation score of 87.9 with its high-quality service approach. HepsiJET also provides its customers with; It also started to offer new services such as live tracking of packages, delaying delivery and changing the delivery address while the shipment is on the way. The ‘Multi-Vehicle Route Optimization’ technology, patented by HepsiJET in 2022, increased operational efficiency.

Continuing its operations in seven logistics centers throughout the year, Hepsi Logistics increased the number of customers it serves from 191 to 751.

The Number of Hepsipay Users Reached 11 Million

Heppay, the wallet and payment gateway solution of Hepsiburada, reached 11 million users as of December 31, 2022. In the last quarter of 2022, customers with a Hepsipay wallet accounted for 84% of Hepsiburada’s total sales volume. The Buy Now and Pay Later application offered by Hepsipay, on the other hand, offered more than 150 thousand customers the opportunity to shop without delaying their needs and without being stuck with their credit card limits.

In 2023, Hepsiburada plans to further develop its solutions to support solvency through HepsiFinans, and aims to offer one-click payment integrations as well as QR code payment option to retailers targeting online retail.

104% growth in the last quarter

Having passed the legendary November with successful results, Hepsiburada closed the last quarter of the year with records with the effect of November and the New Year’s shopping. In the last quarter of 2022, Hepsiburada’s total sales volume increased by 104% compared to the 4th quarter of 2021 and reached 19.1 billion TL. The number of orders increased by 95% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, reaching 33.9 million. In November, the sales volume was approximately 2.6 times more than the average daily sales volume of the remaining 11 months of 2022.

Total Sales Volume Adjusted for Inflation in 2022 was 53.9 billion TL

As the first and only Turkish company to represent Turkey on the world technology stock market Nasdaq, Hepsiburada has also announced its data for 2022 in compliance with international financial reporting standards, again without the effect of inflation, as in the last two quarters. The total sales volume of Hepsiburada, calculated according to inflation accounting in 2022, increased by 4% compared to 52 billion TL in 2021 and reached 53.9 billion TL.

In the last quarter of 2022, the total sales volume calculated according to inflation accounting increased by 14% to 19.4 billion TL.

Hepsiburada is with Entrepreneurial Women in 2022

With the Technology Power for Entrepreneurial Women program initiated by Hepsiburada in 2017 to support the development of women’s role in Turkey’s digital economy, 3,500 more women were reached in the 4th quarter of 2022. Thus, the number of women supported since the beginning of the program has reached 41,500. In addition, the number of women’s cooperatives benefiting from the support offered under the program increased to 254 as of December 31, 2022.

With the contribution of the investments we have made in recent years, we will continue our focus on increasing our profitability this year.

Hepsiburada Premium will continue to be an important asset for us in increasing customer loyalty in 2023. Heppay, which offers solutions that support the purchasing power of our customers, and HepsiJET, which aims for excellence in customer experience, will be the important differentiation points of Hepsiburada. In the coming year, we aim to increase the number of businesses that HepsiJET provides service, and to make our financial technology solutions offered with Hepsipay available to different retailers. With the focus on sustainable growth in 2023, we expect 70% total transaction volume growth for the first quarter of the year.

Another of our priorities for 2023 will be our “Trade and Technology Power to the Earthquake Zone” program, which we announced on March 6, 2023 and will last for two years. With our program, we will use our commercial and technological capabilities to the fullest to provide the long-term support needed in the region. We promise a commercial volume of 10 billion TL within two years to 10 thousand tradesmen and 5 thousand entrepreneur women from the region.”
