The personal exhibition “ReBirth, balance “YOU” are!” by journalist and painter Günsu Saraçoğlu, known for her work in the arts, was opened to art enthusiasts on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Gallery Duende. The exhibition brought together not only art lovers but also the managers of the Çocuk Eğitim Derneği, an organization known for its focus on social responsibility projects.

At the opening of the exhibition, Saraçoğlu and Emine Özkarslıoğlu, the founder of Gallery Duende and curator of the exhibition, announced that the proceeds from the exhibition would be used for the education of hearing-impaired children through the Çocuk Eğitim Derneği. This meaningful collaboration once again highlighted the potential of art to provide social benefit.

Since 2013, Saraçoğlu has been contemplating urban transformation, nature, and climate issues, and with her “ReBirth” collection, she revisits these themes. Previously exhibited at several international environmental conferences, this collection consists of works created using digital art, acrylic, and mixed techniques under the title “balance “YOU” are!”

Saraçoğlu shared the following thoughts about her series:

“For years, I have tried to express through my paintings the thoughts I’ve had about urban transformation, climate change, and environmental issues. My goal has been to create a memory that reflects the era I live in and to contribute to social awareness. I have explored the cycles of nature and humanity’s impact on these cycles. Balance is in our hands; each individual is one of the cornerstones of this process.“

Saraçoğlu’s works emphasize the need to reconnect with nature by learning from past mistakes. Through the message “Balance YOU are!”, she highlights the importance of being aware of the damage from the past and transforming our sensitivity into action.

This exhibition, shaped by the meticulous efforts of curator Emine Özkarslıoğlu, invites art lovers to reflect on the cycles of nature and humanity’s impact on these cycles.
