Singer Gülbin Vardar, known for her energetic stage performances and social responsibility projects, both introduced her new single “Ah Be Güzelim” and announced a surprising political move that will astonish her fans on the 101st episode of Eylül Aşkın’s YouTube program. Announcing that she will be a parliamentary candidate for the Turkey Change Party in the upcoming elections, Vardar said, “My aim is to be the voice of animals, who are God’s silent creatures.”
“Ah Be Güzelim” Met With Her Fans
On the program, Vardar first stated that she was experiencing the excitement of reuniting with listeners by reinterpreting Sezen Aksu’s unforgettable work “Ah Be Güzelim”. She said, “The reactions are very beautiful. Especially the ladies say that with my moves, the song really fits perfectly. Praise, praise, praise… I am very happy because of this. I hope I can reach the point I desire with this song.”
“Music Repairs My Soul, Politics Is My Duty”
To the question of how she will balance her music career and politics, Vardar gave a sincere answer: “Music is the nourishment of my soul, it repairs my soul. But I also love politics. I was caught between the two. However, the time has now come. My soul feels it. My target is now the Parliament.” Pointing to examples of artist parliamentarians, Vardar added, “The two can probably coexist. I can manage that too.”
Biggest Project: “Animal Shelter Village”
Explaining the concrete project she wants to realize in detail if she is elected as a Member of Parliament, Vardar continued her words as follows: “I want an Animal Shelter Village. There will also be a women’s shelter in that village. There, both animals will be protected and women thrown out of their homes will be sheltered. I will have a 24-hour ambulance there, my veterinarian will live there. I will also be there, I will touch them, give them my love. Because you need to be at the helm. This is my dream.”
“Honesty and Stance Are My Principle”
When asked how she wants to be remembered image-wise, Gülbin Vardar replied: “People already know me as one of the most honest women in Turkey. If I say black, it’s black. She never speaks lies. Honor, dignity, pride, and stance… They have never seen me in nonsense things in nightlife, nor in any fights or brawls. I have a line, and I protect it.”
New Song and YouTube Plans
Underlining that her music career will continue, Vardar announced the news that she will release another new single, titled “Miami’deyim”, composed by Yalçın Polat, in the coming months. Furthermore, also emphasizing that she is a very good cook, Vardar shared her new ventures by saying, “I plan to use my YouTube channel to travel from venue to venue, taste delicacies and comment on them, and also give recipes from my own kitchen. There are so many ladies who don’t know how to cook, I will explain it to them sweetly, like a chef.”
