The municipality of Gölcük continues to work tirelessly to heal the wounds of earthquake victims and meet the needs of the region in Hatay. Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer visited Hatay and inspected the work on-site, coordinating with the Gölcük municipality teams and observing the work of other municipal teams. Mayor Sezer did not neglect to meet with the earthquake victims.

SUPPORT TO THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE CONTINUES UNINTERRUPTED

During his visit, Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer first followed the distribution of drinking water and dry food provided by the Gölcük municipality and delivered to earthquake victims in Defne district with the help of the Department of Public Works. Joining the distribution work with the teams, Mayor Sezer stated that they would continue to stand by the earthquake victims.

CLOSE MONITORING OF FIELD WORK BY SEZER

Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer then continued his coordination duties in Hatay, inspecting on-site disinfection, liming, pest and larva control, toilet and field cleaning works in the tent cities and debris areas with Sinop Governor and OHAL Coordinator Governor Erol Karaömeroğlu. During the inspections, Mayor Sezer and Governor Karaömeroğlu spoke with the earthquake victims and listened to their demands and suggestions.

GÖLCÜK’S HELPING HAND ABOVE THE EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Finally, Mayor Sezer inspected the installation work of 30 back sprayers donated by the Gölcük Municipality and 13 electric hand sprayers donated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which were intended to be delivered to the tent cities under the coordination of AFAD. Then, he visited the earthquake victims who received water and food support in tents in Defne, Hatay and had conversations with them.
