Performing at the ‘Amherst Early Music’ festival in the United States, artist Zeynep Öykü’s self-produced harps were the center of attention. Noting that she is proud to give her concerts with a Turkish-made harp, Öykü stated that she will introduce the locally produced Anatolian Harps to the world at the concert she gave in New York last year.
Zeynep Öykü, one of the successful names of baroque music, who drew attention by producing a domestic harp for the first time in Turkey, took the stage in New York with the traveling length of the Italian baroque harp with three rows of strings, which very few musicians can play. Speaking about the subject, the artist said the following:

Zeynep Öykü “I established a production workshop in Gölpazarı, Bilecik”
“At the concert I gave in New York on June 17th last year, I announced that I would start producing Italian harps as well as pegged Celtic harps. The traveling size of the Italian baroque harp with three rows of strings, played by a handful of people in the world, was produced by ‘Anatolian Harps’, which I founded in Gölpazarı, Bilecik. Now it is both a pleasure and an honor to take the stage with the first baroque harp we produced. I participated in the two-week-long ‘Amherst Early Music Festival’ in the USA with the travel size of the baroque harp, which is normally very difficult to carry, produced without compromising its sound and playing. This new production created great excitement in the baroque community and became the center of attention in this festival where early musicians gather once a year.

Zeynep Öykü “Our goal is to enter the Asian market”
Emphasizing that there is a serious demand for Anatolian Harps both at home and abroad, Öykü said, “So far we have sold harps to Greece, Japan, the USA and African countries. There are almost no harp producers in Asia. There is also a market in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. Our goal is to enter the Asian market as well.”
