beIN SPORTS studios in Istanbul hosted a very meaningful event to support earthquake victims.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Clubs Union, beIN Media Group and many stakeholders of the football world started an aid campaign for the disaster victims.
Within the scope of the campaign, the 24th and 25th week matches of Spor Toto Super League can be watched free of charge on Turkey’s new digital platform TOD.
After the earthquake disaster that caused tens of thousands of loss of life and severe damage, the stakeholders of the Turkish football world came together and called for donations by launching the “Omuz Omuza” campaign to support the construction of temporary shelters and permanent residences for earthquake victims.
During the 5-hour live broadcast, which marks the beginning of the Omuz Omuza campaign, the host of the program Acun Ilıcalı, Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi, Clubs Union and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç, PSG’s French star Kylian Mbappé ; Super League club presidents and coaches, including Ahmet Ağaoğlu, Ahmet Nur Çebi and Dursun Özbek, Fatih Terim, Şenol Güneş, Mustafa Denizli, Jorge Jesus, Abdullah Avcı, Volkan Demirel, Andrea Pirlo, Vincenzo Montella and Anastasios Bakasetas, Juan Mata , Enner Valencia, Rachid Ghezzal hosted star football players.
The event was broadcast live by all national sports channels in Turkey, including beIN SPORTS. The donation program was implemented with the cooperation of institutions that want to play a role in the reconstruction of the disaster area, as the main stakeholder of TFF, Clubs Union and beIN Media Group.
At the start of the campaign, which was watched by millions all over Turkey and attracted great interest on social media, a donation amount of 846 million TL was reached.

Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Minister of Youth and Sports, who was connected to the live broadcast by phone, said: “We always feel the unifying power of sports… As a result of our meetings with beIN, the official broadcaster of our football league, in order to emphasize this unifying power of sports, the next two weeks of the Turkish Super League will be open to everyone. It was decided to publish it free of charge. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the donors of the campaign.”
TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi also called on everyone to support the “Omuz Omuza” campaign and said, “We did not come together for just one night. This campaign will continue for many more months. To support the campaign, friendly matches will be held and we will organize many events until the Champions League final to be played in Istanbul.

Two weeks of Spor Toto Super League will be broadcast free of charge from TOD
The Spor Toto Super League, which was suspended due to the disaster, is restarting with the match to be played between Corendon Alanyaspor and Medipol Başakşehir FK on Friday, March 3rd. Due to the postponement of the league, the 24th week matches to be played between March 3 – 6 and all the matches of the 25th week to be played between March 10 – 13 will be broadcast free of charge to TOD members, the new digital content platform of beIN MEDIA GROUP, which started broadcasting on November 21. . In addition to the matches, viewers will also be able to watch TV series, movies, documentaries and TV live broadcasts free of charge on TOD between March 3 and 13.
