BUBİ, one of the important names in Turkish contemporary art, will meet art lovers with the exhibition “RELIEF CAGES and SCULPTURES EXHIBITION,” curated by Zeynep ÖZTÜRK, at DG Art Project from April 27th to June 27th.
BUBİ, who has held many solo exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad, will showcase not only traditional materials but also waste products such as cardboard, fabric, rope, and rags in the exhibition curated by Zeynep ÖZTÜRK at DG Art Project from April 27th to June 27th, 2023.
The primitive, wild weaves in his works, as well as the sometimes well-constructed cages, can be seen as a sign of the artist’s multiple moods. BUBİ, who says he doesn’t start working by planning and thinking, “Suddenly I concentrate during production. The work takes over from that moment on. If I wake up, the work usually gets muddy.”

BUBİ is an artist who tries to remain uneducated and distant from conventional aesthetics and civilization in his world surrounded by cages, just like in his social life.
The exhibition, which will open on April 27th at DG Art Project, can be visited until June 27th, 2023.
