The “Evin Umut Olsun” (Let Your Home Be Hope) platform has been launched to provide temporary accommodation for those who have lost their homes in the earthquake. Online real estate platform Emlakjet has created this new solidarity platform to help heal the wounds of citizens affected by the major earthquake disaster centered in Kahramanmaraş. The online platform, which can be accessed through Emlakjet.com, will act as an intermediary for those who want to host earthquake victims in their suitable homes.

There are two sections on the platform: “Open Your Home for Sharing” where philanthropic citizens can fill out a form and share information about their suitable homes, and “Available Home List” where those in need can see a list of available homes. Those in need must select the suitable home from the list and contact the homeowner. Homeowners who are able to offer their homes can also provide transportation for those in need.

In a short period of time, nearly 500 philanthropists registered their homes on the platform to open their homes to those who lost their homes in the earthquake. Move-ins have begun, and the number of people who have settled in 119 homes has reached 389.
