ecosySTEM Education Center entered 2026 with a vision full of education and science. In the first month of the new year, the center hosted students from different schools, bringing children together with nature- and science-based, hands-on, and innovative educational programs.
As of January, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students from Anakent College, 9th grade students from Erenköy Işık Schools, and 4th grade students from Nihat Işık Primary School came together at the ecosySTEM Education Center. In addition to theoretical knowledge on environment and science, students carried out practical activities supported by state-of-the-art equipment and experiment sets. Throughout the educational process, children both learned and had the opportunity to experience what they learned.

The Future Is Being Built Today
While the ecosySTEM Project aims to raise environmental awareness among children, it also supports the development of a new generation that is productive, open to collaboration, and able to unite around the idea of a shared future. By participating in the program, children realize through experience that the future is shaped today and that they can be active participants in this transformation.
Design Thinking Trainings Are Starting
Among the children who complete six training modules and become eligible for certification, 60 students will be selected and invited to participate in the Design Thinking Trainings. Planned for the first quarter of the year, these trainings will equip children with fundamental skills such as empathy, creative thinking, and prototyping. Students who develop their own environmental projects through teamwork will showcase their successful work at local festivals to be held in Kadıköy, Istanbul. Selected projects will also be invited to an international festival in Greece.

Environmental Cleanup and Creative Recycling at the Local Festival
As part of the local festival, children will participate in cleanup activities organized along the ساحil, in forests, or in park areas. The collected waste will be transformed into creative designs. In this way, children will both experience the importance of environmental cleaning in the field and learn the value of recycling through practical application.
Simultaneously with the Local Festival planned for the spring months, an official opening ceremony for the ecosySTEM Education Center will also be held with the participation of protocol members, parents, and students. The ecosySTEM Project remains firmly committed to raising tomorrow’s eco-leaders in 2026.
