Graduates of the Dormen Academy Acting Department brought their first professional theater play to the stage. Dormen Academy’s talented actors presented Yiğit Sertdemir’s play Medeniyet Tiyatrosu to theatergoers under the direction of Tolga Yeter.

With its stage and costume design, music, and unique yet innovative narrative style, Medeniyet Tiyatrosu invites the audience to a visually and audibly captivating experience. The play’s original stage arrangement and atmospheric lighting emphasize the depth of the story, while the music enhances the emotional transitions between scenes. Blending elements of modern and classical theater, its storytelling style draws the audience in, encouraging reflection and questioning. Additionally, the esteemed artist Haldun Dormen lends his voice to one scene, accompanying his students as an off-stage narrator.

That’s why I’m going to watch the play again tonight. Seeing our graduates from Dormen Academy perform so successfully made me incredibly happy. It even made me want to be a student again.
