A new era has begun for the Turkish Wheelchair Basketball National Team, now affiliated with the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled (TBESF). Following this transition, Slayz has joined the ranks of the national team’s supporters at a sponsorship signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony, held in Yalova where the national team is in its training camp, was attended by TBESF President Alpaslan Erkoç, Slayz Co-founders John Nevzat Erdem and Caner Gemici, Bitexen Board Member Musa Tahsin Doğan, as well as the technical staff and athletes of the U-23 National Team.

In his speech at the ceremony, Alpaslan Erkoç, President of the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled (TBESF), stated that the sponsorship agreement was finalized shortly after the wheelchair basketball discipline was transferred from the Turkish Basketball Federation, and added: “We thank our Minister, Mr. Osman Aşkın Bak, and our Deputy Minister, Mr. Hamza Yerlikaya. With their contributions, we have taken over the basketball discipline and aim to carry it even further.” Erkoç also expressed that they expect a championship from the Men’s U-23 Wheelchair Basketball National Team, which will compete in the 2025 IWBF World Championship in São Paulo, Brazil.
