With the joint effort of the Everyone’s Book Foundation and Support Media Group, and with contributions from Gold Production, the actors of “Kızılcık Şerbeti” have selected their favorite fairy tales to create a book.
The Everyone’s Book Foundation, a non-governmental organization that works under the slogan “Books for Everyone, Everywhere for a Reading Turkey,” has once again touched the hearts of children today. For the foundation’s “Let All Children Read in the 100th Year of Our Republic!” project, the actors of “Kızılcık Şerbeti” selected their favorite fairy tales from around the world. This collection of world fairy tales chosen by the actors resulted in the anthology “The Most Famous Fairy Tales with Celebrities.” By purchasing this book, it is possible to contribute to the education of children in village schools. The event took place on Wednesday, May 22, at Nişantaşı The Stay Boulevard Hotel, with a special launch for the press and invited guests, featuring the participation of the actors from “Kızılcık Şerbeti.” This compilation of the actors’ favorite world fairy tales will find its place in the hearts, dreams, and libraries of children.

Çiğdem Yorgancıoğlu, who conducts Chi Ci Talks on TV channels, in educational institutions, and most recently at Kompoze Development Workshops, has once again come together with the foundation’s founder, Bülent Şenver. The friendly connection between Çiğdem Yorgancıoğlu and Bülent Şenver began in 1985 at Boğaziçi University, where Yorgancıoğlu was a student and Şenver was teaching. Their paths later crossed in their professional lives, including information technology and finance. After the pandemic, they held numerous talks as part of educational and cultural projects.
Those interested in hearing the story of the foundation, which aims to send books to children in village schools with the proceeds from the sales of this anthology of fairy tales, can watch Chi Ci Talks on YouTube and related TV programs.

Economist, MIM CHI 360 children’s drama, dance, and creativity activities instructor, and world-traveling author Çiğdem Yorgancıoğlu said: “We have implemented storytelling and fairy tale theater in many countries around the world. We have achieved very positive results from numerous social responsibility projects. I believe this can also be applied to this fairy tale book. In fact, my creative writing thoughts in the Oulipo technique workshops have already hatched ideas for the project. Using the Oulipo technique, I say: ‘If only I could get a fairy tale book.’
The foundation’s project is a very creative idea. This project, which keeps the tradition of fairy tales alive by coloring and nourishing our collective imagination, will serve children with the revenue generated. It’s a wonderful and effective idea. An amazing social responsibility initiative. With fairy tales, you are both within and outside the world. Fairy tales are both realistic and fantastic. In my opinion, fairy tales are another name for quantum. Think of Alice in Wonderland; even the movie Matrix came from there. Fairy tales have a unique place in cultural transmission with their magical and surreal qualities. They are the most colorful way to pass on culture to future generations. Their educational aspects are also worth remembering. I wholeheartedly support this project. The book is also available internationally. Look at the beauty of this slogan: ‘We will shed light on our children’s education and help them develop reading habits at a young age.’ The book is available at D&R with a 40% discount. Those who want to support and touch the lives of children can contact the Everyone’s Book Foundation for more information. While taking these photos with the series actors, Yorgancıoğlu mentioned that she watched the series for the first time thanks to this event.”

During the cocktail reception at the event, Kompoze Development Workshops Founding Instructor Nurcan Çetin Çelik and Instructor Çiğdem Yorgancıoğlu discussed ideas for future social responsibility collaborations with the Everyone’s Book Foundation. Among the highlights of the day were memorable photos with series actors Evrim Asyalı and Rahimcan Kapkap.
