A beach cleaning event was organized as part of the World Environment Day and Environment Protection Week on June 5th.
The program, held at Iskele Yacht Harbor, started with placing a “tribute wreath” in the sea in memory of our citizens who lost their lives in the major earthquake disaster that occurred in our country on February 6th. After a moment of silence and the national anthem, speeches were made by Burhaniye District Governor İlyas Memiş, Burhaniye Mayor Ali Kemal Deveciler, and Nevingül İlbars Kalkan, the Environmental Engineer of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Climate Change Department, regarding the significance and importance of the day.
