Burak Çevik, who has taken part in the Berlinale twice with his previous films, will compete for the Caligari Award for the third time and will achieve an important success.
Known for his bold and innovative films in which he pushes the possibilities of storytelling in cinema, his latest film “Forms of Forgetting”, which is about a couple who broke up 14 years ago, is an experience of how history is layered and rewritten over and over again because the couple, who got back together years later, could not remember how they broke up. offers.
“Forms of Forgetting”, the text of which was penned by the director Burak Çevik with Nesrin Uçarlar and Erdem Şenocak, who starred in the movie, is planned to meet the audience in Turkey in 2023 with a special event calendar.

Burak Çevik studied Cinema-Television at Istanbul Bilgi University. The films Tuzdan Kaide (2018), Belonging (2019) and Forgetting (2023), which he directed and produced, had their world premieres at the Berlin Film Festival.
