The group exhibition titled “Summer Art Meeting,” organized by UZ Art Gallery, met with art enthusiasts on Wednesday, July 2nd, at the exhibition hall of CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel, one of Istanbul’s most prestigious hotels. At this special event positioned against the unique Bosphorus view, 19 valuable artists presented their new works to the audience. Bringing together young and productive representatives of contemporary art, the exhibition became one of the most noteworthy artistic gatherings of the summer season.
At the event, art lovers had the opportunity to explore the original approaches of artists working in different disciplines. The range of works, spanning from painting to sculpture and mixed techniques to conceptual compositions, offered the audience a rich visual and intellectual experience. Artists participating in the exhibition included Ali Ghahari, Bahadır Kurt, Balkan Karışman, Çağlar Bıyıkoğlu, Ece Haskan, Elif Demir Tura, Emre Tura, Erman Gürcüm, Engin Beyaz, Gizem Şanlı, Gülfem Kessler, May Sarıtaş, Meltem Şahin, Mustafa Duymaz, Nazan Özaras, Özge Tezgör, Robin Çoban, Sanem Tufan, and Turgut Türker.

In an interview during the exhibition, Mehmet Uzer, the founder of UZ Art Gallery, expressed the gallery’s vision with these words:
“I am Mehmet Uzer. I am the founder of UZ Art Gallery. I established this gallery with the aim of contributing to the promotion of young Turkish artists both domestically and on international platforms, and to serve, however modestly, in opening Turkish art to the world.”

Defining Summer Art Meeting as “a distinguished exhibition composed of young artists,” Uzer also drew attention to the quality of the venue hosting the event:
“We are currently at CVK Bosphorus Hotel. This is a very impressive venue facing the Bosphorus. The names of our artists participating in the exhibition are displayed here. Each of their works presents both their personal emotions and social reflections to the audience through an aesthetic language.”

Mehmet Uzer also spoke about UZ Art Gallery’s future-oriented goals. He stated their plans to bring art not only within gallery walls but also to public spaces:
“As an art gallery, we have set a long-term goal for ourselves. In this context, starting from September, we plan to hold a regular exhibition every month. At the same time, our efforts to exhibit artworks in public spaces throughout the summer are ongoing. No amount of struggle is too much for Turkish art and Turkish artists.”

Concluding his remarks with a call to art enthusiasts, Uzer emphasized that societal art consciousness can be built through collective effort:
“We now invite art lovers, collectors, and all parties interested in art to visit our exhibitions and contribute to the art scene together with us.”

This distinguished event, hosted by CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel, left its mark in memories not only with its aesthetic richness but also with its sincere atmosphere. The venue’s historic texture and modern architecture complemented the contemporary spirit of the exhibition, strengthening the relationship art establishes with space.

In line with UZ Art Gallery’s vision, new exhibitions are expected to reunite with art lovers in the coming months. This important initiative contributing to Turkish contemporary art draws attention not only with its works but also with its close contact with artists and its understanding of sustainable programming.
