Albayrak Group, one of Turkey’s leading institutions, continues to bring art enthusiasts together with its traditional Calligraphy Exhibition. Celebrating its 10th year, the exhibition is organized under the leadership of Albayrak Group with the aim of preserving and developing the Islamic art tradition. Covering 23,000 kilometers worldwide in the past 10 years, visiting many regions with 130 pieces, the exhibition attracts the interest of millions of art enthusiasts.
10th-Year Celebration with the Theme of “Bismillah”
In the 10 years that Albayrak Group has carried the Calligraphy Exhibition to various corners of the Islamic geography, this year’s exhibition presents itself with the theme of “Bismillah.” Works prepared by master calligraphers in different themes each year will be exhibited starting from the opening on Tuesday, December 19, at the Tophane-i Âmire Culture and Art Center. The exhibition will be open to visitors until Thursday, December 21, at Tophane Kasrı.
Calligraphy Exhibition Visits Tophane Kasrı
The Calligraphy Exhibition will have its traditional opening on Tuesday, December 19, at the Tophane-i Âmire Culture and Art Center. Subsequently, it will meet visitors at Tophane Kasrı until Thursday, December 21. In addition to the works themed “Bismillah,” all works from the Albayrak Calligraphy Calendar Collection will also be featured in the exhibition. The exhibition can be visited until January 6, 2024.
Meeting Calligraphy Art in the Digital World
Adapting to the requirements of the digital age, Albayrak Group shares over 2,000 calligraphy works with art enthusiasts on www.ketebe.org. In this digital archive, information about the writing and technical details of the works, along with the life stories of the calligraphers, is provided. Additionally, the Albayrak Calligraphy Collection reaches a wide audience through the Instagram account named albayrakhat.
