Master Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya, a leading figure in Turkish gastronomy and a Masterchef moderator, is launching a new experience at his restaurant Alaz, which is inspired by Anatolia’s migration culture. The special menus prepared with the “Fire of the Migration Route” concept will now meet guests not only for dinner but also for lunch service.

Located in the heart of Ankara, Alaz stands out as a kitchen where local ingredients meet ancient recipes from historic migration routes. With this new step, Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya now brings the fire, labor, and stories of Anatolia to the tables during lunch hours as well.
Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya says, “The spirit of migration is timeless. At Alaz, we now trace the path of that journey in the middle of the day as well. Our lunch menu features plates that are both suitable for the fast pace of city life and contain a deep cultural flavor.”

The new lunch menu spans from grilled meats and grains depicting the migration route to different flavors interpreted with the balance of yogurt and spices. Remaining true to the philosophy of “the transforming language of fire,” the menu retells the migration story of Anatolia with every meal.
With this innovation, Alaz offers both business people and gastronomy enthusiasts the opportunity to experience “slow, conscious, and meaningful dining” during lunch hours.
