Abdullah Özer, who was a former member of parliament for Bursa and a former provincial chairman of the party, was bid farewell at the ceremony held in front of the Nilüfer Municipality Community Center. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Nilüfer, Turgay Erdem, the District Governor of Nilüfer, Dr. Mustafa Özarslan, the Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party and member of parliament for Bursa, Lale Karabıyık, members of the Republican People’s Party Central Executive Board and members of parliament for Bursa, Orhan Sarıbal and Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu, former member of parliament and member of the Republican People’s Party Central Executive Board, Hakkı Süha Okay, member of parliament for Bursa, Erkan Aydın, Chairman of the Republican People’s Party in Bursa, Turgut Özkan, former members of parliament of the Republican People’s Party in Bursa, Kemal Ekinci, İlhan Demiröz, Mehmet Küçükaşık, Ceyhun İrgil, former provincial chairmen of the Republican People’s Party in Bursa, and many party members and his family.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence, and the Mayor of Nilüfer, Turgay Erdem, expressed his sadness at the loss of a valuable member in his speech. Mayor Erdem said, “We will always remember him. We will not forget Abdullah Özer’s efforts for our party, democracy, and what he did for Bursa. My condolences to his family and loved ones.”

Many party members who attended the ceremony shared their emotions. The Republican People’s Party members of parliament, members of the Central Executive Board, former provincial chairmen, and former members of parliament from Bursa expressed their sorrow and shared their memories of Abdullah Özer. The ceremony ended with a prayer.

Abdullah Özer, the former member of parliament for Bursa in the 23rd term of the Republican People’s Party, was laid to rest in eternal peace after the funeral prayer held at the FSM Mosque.
