Murat Germen’s solo exhibition “Dokunma”, opened for visitors on September 24 at Galeri/Miz, will be on view from September 24 – November 7, 2024. The selection, consisting of Germen’s digital works, traces urban destruction at a level that could be described as criminal, while also reflecting signs of cultural and sociological damage.

Meanwhile, the artist, who examines the crisis point of this multi-layered urban structure through his works, deconstructs this destruction/crisis in his art, bringing criticism to the faulty situations it represents.
In the exhibition, where he creates new images using his existing photographs, Germen reveals new ways of expression and narration between his own layers. All the works you will see invite you to reflect on the city.
The photographs in the exhibition are uploaded in sets of six to a digital interface designed by Emrah Kavlak, which simulates a three-dimensional world. Through parametric selections and mouse movements that allow for various perspectives, digital photo-collages are generated.
