Başak Tanem Tanyeri
A graduate of Hacettepe University’s Painting Department, Başak Tanem Tanyeri participated in the “NOVA360” exhibition with a special piece. The artist shared insights into her creative process, from the materials she uses to her sources of inspiration, stating:
“In this exhibition, the material I used is Dragon Skin. As with my previous works, in this piece, I question human life through dystopian themes. I drew inspiration from Yevgeny Zamyatin’s novel We. I attempted to express a dystopia, parallel to our time, that critiques the fixed ideas about how people should live within society, using form and material.”
Başak Tanem Tanyeri’s work represents an innovative approach in both form and concept. The artist’s piece deeply explores the relationship between society and the individual.
