Torbalı District Governor Ercan Öter, Torbalı Mayor Mithat Tekin, and Erdemoğlu Holding Chairman İbrahim Erdemoğlu, along with administrative and civil authorities, attended the opening ceremony of the Merinos – İbrahim Erdemoğlu Sports Complex. Erdemoğlu Holding, the main sponsor of the opening, emphasized Merinos’ success story that has contributed to the region since 2004, highlighting the complex’s specific contributions to Torbalı.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, İbrahim Erdemoğlu mentioned that they started Merinos’ activities in Torbalı in 2004 as part of the holding companies. He stated that they initially started in the furniture sector but now operate in the carpet and home textile industries. Erdemoğlu expressed pride in contributing to the economy and employment of Torbalı, which has become one of the rising industrial centers in the Aegean region for almost 20 years. He added that they aimed to contribute to the development of young people in the fields of sports and social life with the sports complex and would take pride in athletes trained at the facilities.

Torbalı Mayor Mithat Tekin and Torbalı District Governor Ercan Öter, in their speeches at the opening ceremony, thanked İbrahim Erdemoğlu for his contributions to the district. A Multi-Purpose Sports Complex Worth 30 Million Turkish Liras

Erdemoğlu Holding’s latest corporate social responsibility project in the sports field, the ‘Merinos – İbrahim Erdemoğlu Sports Complex,’ was realized with a total investment of 30 million Turkish Liras. The complex includes a multi-purpose indoor arena used for basketball and volleyball, as well as an outdoor tennis court. Additionally, social facilities are planned to be included in the extensive garden of the sports complex in the future. This modern facility aims to increase Torbalı’s sports potential and make positive contributions to the region’s social life.
