Evrim Art Gallery hosted the first solo exhibition of young painter Evrim Doğukan Ketenci, titled “Evlex Tartunya,” between July 5 and 15, 2025. The opening cocktail took place on Saturday, July 5, at the gallery venue, bringing together art enthusiasts.
The 13-year-old artist Evrim Doğukan Ketenci shared his thoughts and feelings about the exhibition with these words:
“The reason I opened this exhibition is to show the world through the eyes of a child to those who sometimes lose their inspiration. Maybe a painting touches someone’s heart. Maybe a glance turns into a thought. I hope these drawings leave a mark somewhere. Just like everyone else, I wanted to share what I draw. Maybe someone will feel happy, maybe they’ll pause and reflect for a moment. Maybe they’ll simply enjoy the colors… But no matter what, I wanted these paintings to make people feel something.”

The artist emphasized that his paintings feature people, landscapes, and special moments that catch his attention, expressing his feelings with these words:
“Some of them filled me with joy as I drew, and some made me feel excited. What I want the most is for others to see the world through my eyes. To me, art is when one color turns into another. A vibrant color is something alive for me. Even if it transforms into another color, it’s still itself—just living in a different life. This is my first exhibition. I usually do my drawings after school or before going to sleep. And I can say this from the heart… I truly love drawing.”

Betül Ketenci, founder and director of Evrim Art Gallery, shared her thoughts on the young artist’s exhibition with the following words:
“With ‘Evlex Tartunya,’ the final exhibition of the 2025 summer season, we bid farewell to a vibrant and inspiring period. It has been a great pleasure to host this refined exhibition, which invites us into the imaginative world of our youngest artist, Evrim Doğukan Ketenci. In the 2025 winter season, we will continue to present exhibitions by distinguished artists to art lovers. We warmly invite all art enthusiasts to visit Evrim Art Gallery.”

The “Evlex Tartunya” exhibition can be visited at Evrim Art Gallery until July 15, 2025. This special showcase, offering a glimpse into the inner world of a young artist, awaits art lovers with its emotional depth and vibrant expression.
