The Digital Details 5th Culture and Arts Documentaries Film Festival, which will be held between May 8-10, 2025, will meet cinema enthusiasts through digital platforms. The festival is chaired by director and academician Prof. Dr. Ceyhan Kandemir.

Reaching its fifth year, the festival continues to shed light on the creative world of documentary cinema. As in previous years, awards will be given in categories such as ‘Impressive Script/Story’, ‘Successful Director’, ‘Creative Editing’, and ‘Original Production Design’. Additionally, the ‘Documentary Master Honor Award’, given to individuals who have made significant contributions to documentary cinema, will also be presented this year.

The founder of the festival, Prof. Dr. Ceyhan Kandemir, highlighted the importance of this special year and made the following statement:

“We set out five years ago with the goal of making real values visible; during this time, almost no changes have been made to our team, and we have continued to grow stronger and remain free every passing day, and we continue to do so. This journey is being carried on with our ethical and scientific perspective principles, despite all the tough conditions imposed in the methods of art production.”

“Our advisory boards and organizing committees, formed with the support of many universities in Turkey, cinema-TV academicians, and valuable figures from the industry, determine the preliminary and main jury teams every year with great care. Being part of making a large number of qualified documentaries even more visible is extremely valuable for us. It brings us great joy to see that our efforts to become an important school are recognized both in the academic world and among independent documentary filmmakers.”

🌐 The Festival Will Take Place Completely Online

This year, the festival will reach audiences through online screenings. Participants will have the opportunity to watch finalist documentaries and join special talks through the festival’s online platform from May 8-10.
