WWF’s global event, Earth Hour, which has been held since 2007 to raise awareness about the climate crisis and nature loss, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 22, 2025, with the call “Give an Hour for the Earth.”

Millions of people from over 190 countries will participate in the event, where monuments and institutions around the world will turn off their lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Both individual and corporate participants will dedicate one hour to the planet by engaging in an activity that contributes to a sustainable future, chosen from the Earth Hour website.

In Turkey, WWF-Turkey (the Foundation for the Protection of Nature) leads the Earth Hour initiative, with numerous monuments, institutions, sports clubs, universities, municipalities, and public organizations joining in tomorrow’s event, responding to the call to be a beacon of hope and inspiration for our future by carrying out a beneficial activity for our planet.

Every year in March, Earth Hour, organized with global participation under the call of WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), will take place tomorrow evening from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM in 2025. Monuments and institutions around the world will turn off their external lights to raise awareness about the deepening nature loss.

In Turkey, Earth Hour, sponsored by Panasonic Electric Works Turkey, invites individuals and institutions to turn off their lights or participate in planet-friendly activities. By doing so, millions of people worldwide can contribute to saving time for the planet’s future. This year, Earth Hour coincides with World Water Day on March 22, and water-themed messages and activities will call for “Give an Hour for Water.”

Earth Hour offers numerous suggestions for those who want to dedicate an hour and contribute to saving time for the future. For those saying, “I’m dedicating an hour to the Earth and want to do more,” there is also the option to support WWF-Turkey’s conservation efforts by obtaining an Earth Hour Donation Certificate.
