Countdown has begun for one of Turkey’s most prestigious tennis events, the TED Republic Girls International Tennis Tournament, which is set to take place this year with Garanti Bank as the main sponsor.

The 23rd TED Republic Girls International Tennis Tournament will be held at the TED Sports Club from October 22 to October 29, 2023. A press conference with the participation of the President of the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF), Cengiz Durmuş, the President of the TED Sports Club, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Tınaz, and national athletes such as Pemra Özgen, İpek Öz, and Çağla Büyükakçay was held, creating great enthusiasm for the tournament.

Cengiz Durmuş expressed his joy for the participation of athletes, stating, “It’s great to have our athletes participate in this tournament.” He highlighted the significance of the tournament being held in the 100th year of the Turkish Republic and emphasized the global representation of Turkish athletes in this special year.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Tınaz, as the President of TED Sports Club, shared his excitement for this year’s tournament, expressing hope for a different outcome compared to the past 23 years. He wished for a successful tournament and invited all tennis enthusiasts to the final day.

A total of 14 athletes will compete in both singles and doubles categories during the tournament, with the singles final set to take place on October 29, 2023, at 1:30 PM.
