Special Three Performances for Republic Day with “1923” on Stage! The grand production that was prepared specially for the 100th anniversary of the Republic and was awarded the Haldun Dormen Special Award at the 25th Afife Theater Awards, “1923,” continues to meet theater enthusiasts at Zorlu PSM. With dance choreography, live orchestra, and period costumes, the musical “1923” brings the spirit of the Republic to life. Following the high demand for the two special October performances for Republic Day, it has announced a matinee session on October 28.   The musical “1923,” a joint production of Çolpan İlhan & Sadri Alışık Theater, Piu Entertainment, and Zorlu PSM, made possible with contributions from Zorlu Holding and Group companies, will take theatergoers on a journey through time on October 28-29 with three special performances for Republic Day and will continue to be performed at Zorlu PSM throughout the season. Starring talented actors Kerem Alışık, Özge Özder, and Ece Dizdar, “1923” was brought to the stage after 18 months of preparation, with the collaboration of a team of 200 people both on and off stage, featuring dazzling set design and multimedia elements. This musical, which tells the story of the founding of the Republic starting from the Turkish War of Independence, was specially prepared to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic and is one of the largest theater productions ever staged. The interest in the three special performances of “1923” for Republic Day continues to grow. The Republic Day celebrations will come to life at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage on October 28-29. “1923” is a critically acclaimed musical written by Yekta Kopan, Mert Dilek, and directed by Mehmet Ergen.
