In the second part of the Pure Encapsulations® Health Science Summit, where the future of holistic health was discussed, and many scientists from Turkey and around the world gathered, various topics such as “Development of Chronic Diseases and Genetic Approach” and “Is it the Brain or the Gut” were addressed.

At the Pure Encapsulations® Health Science Summit, scientists from Turkey and around the world made presentations within the scope of their expertise in various medical fields. The summit, which comprehensively addressed a healthy life, was opened by Dr. Thierry Hertoghe, a recognized expert in healthy aging and long life, with his presentation titled “The Root Cause of Chronic Diseases: Inflammation.”
In the second part of the meeting, Stem Cell and Anti-Aging Specialist Dr. Cansen Yeni Kut discussed “Regeneration and Extracellular Matrix,” Medical Genetic Specialist Dr. Yaman Sağlam addressed “Development of Chronic Diseases and Genetic Approach,” American Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Member Gastroenterologist Prof. Dr. Orhan Tarçın discussed “Is it the Brain or the Gut,” Functional Medicine Experts Dr. İrem Ergün and Dr. Kara Fitzgerald talked about “Reversing Aging,” Natural Treatment Specialist Dr. Peter Bongiorno and Functional Medicine Specialist Prof. Dr. Serkan Şener covered “Emotional State and Stress Management with Personalized Approach.”

“Eating the Mediterranean diet supports good bacteria”
Emphasizing the importance of the intestines as a vital organ in recent years, American Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Member Gastroenterologist Prof. Dr. Orhan Tarçın stated, “Here, not only do we have intestines, but there are also microorganisms inside the intestines. We call this the microbiota, and it is crucial for our health. The microbiota strengthens our immunity and eliminates bacteria. However, if we cannot protect this microbiota well, diseases can arise. Eating healthily and consuming probiotics strengthens good bacteria. The health of our intestines is the health of our body. Eating well and getting good sleep are very important. If we eat the Mediterranean diet, we support good bacteria,” he said.
“Environmental factors are causing chronic diseases”
Medical Genetic Specialist Dr. Yaman Sağlam pointed out that environmental factors are causing chronic diseases, saying, “When we talk about chronic diseases, many diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension come to mind. In recent times, diseases influenced by environmental factors related to our diet have begun to emerge. We can give examples of diseases related to the intestines in particular. After some tests, we plan how a person will be treated. In addition, we provide guidance on how to eat,” he said.

Explaining connective tissue and its regeneration, Stem Cell and Anti-Aging Specialist Dr. Cansen Yeni Kut said, “When we talk about connective tissue, it is usually understood in terms of aesthetics and skin.
